Christopher understands that each student is unique. He inspires his students to reach their full potential and cultivate their passions – not just by achieving higher academic scores – but also through community outreach, sports, and the arts.
After graduating from UCSD (cognitive science), Chris worked with a wide range of educational companies, serving the diverse population of the South Bay, from toddlers to teens. Christopher founded Tricycle Learning Company in 2013, with the hope of giving all students a fair shot at higher education. His success rate in SAT/ACT tutoring and other college prep services sparked partnerships with such programs as:
Christopher is a Past District Interact Chair for Rotary District 5280. Christopher taught various professional training programs at Los Angeles Community College, Community College of Allegheny County, and Butler County Community College with a focus on process, test preparation, and job skills.
A Long Beach, California native, Christopher is an archery enthusiast, Muay Thai student, and enjoys traveling with his wife, Pinky, and their Shiba Inu.
Marianne brings over 20 years of experience as a Human Resources and Administration Manager in various industries, from commercial insurance to manufacturing.
Born in the Philippines, Marianne and her family emigrated to the U.S. and have lived up and down both coasts, following her dad’s Navy career, before they settled in Southern California. She then graduated from UNLV (English with an emphasis in linguistics) before heading Eastward.
Prior to planting Pittsburgh roots in 2004, Marianne led a commercial lines insurance underwriting program for the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) in California. She then discovered that her true passion was in aligning her staff’s talents and motivations with her organization’s needs, and made the move to Human Resources and Administration Management.
A native to nowhere/native to everywhere, Marianne enjoys traveling and cooking with her husband Ron and spending time with their dogs Lucy and Rambo.
